We have been in quarantine for about four weeks now. Everything is still boring and depressing. I’m tired of being at home all the time and I don’t even know for how much more time we will have to do this. I don’t want to complain because I know that there are people that are going through much harder things. Many people are dying or have family members and friends dying, many others lost their jobs and might have a very hard time buying the things that they need. But my problems limit to being tired of being at home and not being able to work for some time. So, I try to complain as little as possible because many people are going through much more serious problems. Something else that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately is what things will change and how they will change after this pandemic is over. What will change after this to prepare the world for the next pandemic?

I am also worried for my home country, the Dominican Republic. Back there they can’t be outside their house from 5:00 pm to 6:00 am or they will get arrested, also only essential workers can work. But unfortunately, many people don’t respect these guidelines. Thousands of people have been arrested in the past few days because they went outside after 5:00 pm. There are also many reports of companies that haven’t shut down even though they aren’t essential and still have people working. There are about 3000 cases now, but I’m worried about what can happen if these number grows much faster since the D.R. isn’t prepared for what could happen.  So, I really hope that treatment or a vaccine is found for this virus quickly.
