Life Under Covid-19

The last few weeks have been very difficult for everyone for many different reasons, but all caused by COVID-19. When the college was closed and the quarantine started, I was happy because I could stay at home all the time and I don’t like to go out. But after a few weeks in quarantine it is starting to get boring and way too repetitive. Every day I wake up late unless I have an online class, I do the work and then go to play video games. I go to sleep late and repeat the same things the following day. The only times I go out is when I have to take out the trash. I can’t believe that someone like me, an introvert most of the time, would get tired of being alone in my room. Thankfully for me and my family this is the only “problem” as none of us has the coronavirus. We only have to deal with the monotony of these last few weeks. Although this is a serious issue as many people have died especially here in New York, I do believe that the media is exaggerating and doing more harm than good with the panic that they are creating. Something else that preoccupies me is the economy. I’m scared of how shutting down basically everything in most of the world will affect the global economy. I really hope that this is over soon as I think the longer this takes the worst it will be afterward. I also wonder if after all of this is over if there will be any major changes in how we do things, or if everything will go back to how it was before.
